Ohio State Fairgrounds Master Plan

The Davis Wince, Ltd. team, in conjunction with Bullock & Smith Partners, created a ten-year phased Master Plan, serving as road map for development and a platform for Capital Funding.

The Ohio Expositions Center has evolved from a venue used just one week per year to a 300 acre, year round operation hosting over 200 events annually, including the Ohio State Fair.

The Master Plan considered the following planning issues:

1. Establishing a connection between the south and north campuses.
2. Improved pedestrian and site circulation.
3. Condition assessment and improvement recommendations for all buildings.
4. Creating an architectural identity for the buildings.
5. Providing a plan for overall site management, and phased Capital Budgeting for the next three biennium.
